Styling My Favorite Summer Dress

I spend a good chunk of my down time obsessing over my next outfit…not that you can always tell. I work in a relaxed office and can often be found in athleisure (leggings and some kind of tee). In an effort to get out of that rut, which was brought on by the winter necessity of layering, I browsed Poshmark and grabbed a few great new dresses I can wear to work. My favorite is a new with tags 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target find, which I wanted to share with all of you here!

The Dress

The dress, as mentioned, was found on Poshmark and is from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line. My favorite aspect of this dress is its versatility--I can wear it both to the office and out on the weekends. I love the back, with its extra length and shape, and the print is chaotic and fun. 

The Bag

The bag is also from Poshmark--it's McQ by Alexander McQueen. I love this bag's unique and edgy look as well as the amount it holds! In this photo, it has both Stephen's and my RayBans cases, my wallet, my chapstick, my keys, and touch-up make-up and you can't even tell. It's my go-to going out bag.

The Shoes

Believe it or not, prior to taking these photos my shoes were still caked in dust from last year's Lollapalooza. These vans are my favorite shoes that I've ever owned and I pair them with everything from jeans, to shorts, to, as you see here, dresses. I cleaned the bottom white rubber with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and gently cleaned the perforated leather tops with a soft bristled toothbrush and water. They look brand new! Hair and Makeup (and my necklace)

Those of you who know me know that I don't wear a ton of makeup, and this includes when I dress up. For this look, I simply dried my hair (with my blowdryer) and put on tinted moisturizer, mascara, light eye shadow, and lip balm. The necklace I'm wearing is from Satya's Zodiac collection (where my Libras at?).
